The TRUDAEMONIA STORY
Trudaemonia Festival was born out of our mission to develop a sustainable farm with a focus on health, wellness & education for all people who are interested in participating & experiencing this outstanding setting. Located in the Valley of Springs, in the fertile Beit Shean River Valley region beside the Gilboa Mountains - Stay Tru Farms was conceived out of the vast ambition to develop a unique getaway destination surrounded by a vibrant farm for those who wish to share & experience the Land of Israel.
Central to our motivation is the old Jewish tradition that if the Garden of Eden was located in Israel - it would be located in the Beit Shan Valley tucked away amongst dozens of natural springs and crystal-clear pools. Historically, when king Saul fell on his sword and died it was near the Gilboa mountains. King David was heartbroken by this turn of events and as he stood upon this majestic mountain range he cursed the valley below. King David's language was that the valley would withhold its blessings & in the verse it states “Sdei Trumot” fields of bounty. We have actively been working to lift this ancient curse through our cultivation of the land, calling the farm Stay Tru (after its location and holy implications) & most importantly using the land as a means for celebratory gatherings of holy souls to once again uplift this special place to its former glory.
Our community also happens to be comprised of a group of devoted music lovers who are committed to spreading wonderful sounds & experiences to all those who seek them. We are delighted to invite everyone to join us this Chol Hamoed Sukkot, on October 17th to listen to the spiritual sounds of Zusha, G-Nome Project, Nissim Black & more with us on our Farm. A Glatt Kosher BBQ will be provided along with our exclusive Ethiopian honey beer TEJ brewed by the one and only Lost Tribes. Camping options will be available as well for all those who are interested in spending the evening under the stars in our state-of-the-art Sukkah until Friday the 18th. Finally, we will have bus transportation to various locations to help facilitate everyone’s safe travel home before Shabbat Chol Hamoed. We’re excited to share this special musical and communal journey with you as we share our most important belief - That StayTru is a stomping ground that belongs to everyone.
